Jaime Sabartés and Pablo Picasso critically examine a portrait of Jacqueline. Pablo Picasso valued Sabartés' opinion highly. They met in 1899 as members of a group of artists which regularly met in the els 4 gats, a cafe in Barcelona. They remained friends ever since. La Californie, Cannes 1957.
