Each year during the Cannes Film Festival the Aga Khan and his wife, the Begum would give a reception at their Villa Yakymour in Le Cannet. In 1957, the Prince had been very ill and could not be present. When the Begum greeted the guests which included Romy Schneider and Karlheinz Böhm, she told Romy that the Aga Khan would be pleased to see her and Romy was very touched.
